Snow Day

This was actually taken a while ago, in the middle of January, I think. It was awesome to get the snow, even if it was gone quickly. Most places, things got shut down. From what I gathered, we got the least of the snow. I wish I would have known that at the time and gone to the big snowfall. Anyway, it was a good time!

By the way, the camera was unhurt, luckily. Sadly, though, my voice really does sound like that. Arg.

Playing with Rebecca

Well, our friends the Pugmires are up and leaving soon. We'll be so sad to see them go. They've been great friends. Now who will have cute moments like these with Sally?

By the way, my still camera sadly died. I'm wondering if anybody has any recommendations on what to get next?

Valentine's Rules

So, the romantic day has come and gone, but I hope not the romance. Here in Georgia, we had a great day. Bill came home for lunch and we had an indoor picnic with a fire. In the evening, we got a sitter! That's big for us. Bill took me to Chateau Elan for dinner- it's a ritzy country club/ winery close to where we live. They had a special Valentine's buffet which ruled. I loved the citrus artichoke soup we had- as well as the hundreds of other delightful flavors that crossed my happy pallate. Oohh, the raspberry mousse pyramids were to die for. It also had a glass ceiling so we could see the sky get darker and the moon come up. It was SO awesome. Then, we went to the movies. We saw "Jumper" and were very entertained. It's only the second movie we've seen in the theater in the last year. Going to the movies is really fun! We came home to a sleeping toddler and a very nice and capable babysitter. All in all, a fantastic Valentine's day. The best part, though, is having a Valentine that you truly love; one that warms your heart with a touch and delights your mind by the mere thought of him. I feel so lucky that Bill chose me to be his wife. I love him so dearly and am so excited to see him as the Daddy of two!

My wonderful Valentine

This is a little video at the tail end of our picnic. Sally is a bit of a ham in this one towards the end. Hmmmm, wonder where she gets that from. (Remembers the countless calls of,"Mom! Camera me!")

I'm so happy to have a family with so much love. Happy late Valentine's day to all.

Tagged... Already!!

So I can't believe I've been tagged since I think a total of 2 people have even seen this. I am actually planning on sending around an email to tell people- soon. Alright, here goes.

This is me being surprised. I am, by the way, surprised.

The rules:
1) Link to the person that tagged you.
2) Post the rules on your blog.
3) Share six non-important things/habits/quirks about yourself.
4) Tag at least three people at the end of your post and link to their blogs.
5) Let each person know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.
6) Let the fun begin!

1) I am the opposite of a neat freak. Mess doesn't bother me, I'm trying to work on getting it to bug me a bit more.

2) I love love. It is my favorite gospel topic. I love feeling it in all its wondrous ways. From the love I have for waterskiing to the love I have for Bill. From the love I feel from my violin students to the love I feel from my Heavenly Father. It's all good, no, great. Love rules.

3) I soak my feet most every day. I love to get my feet warm and read a little while doing it. It is relaxing and divine. Bill likes what it does to my feet before bed so he doesn't get the feet of ice. You all should do it tonight.

4) I am a faithful American Idol watcher. Last year, we didn't have television service for quite a while. I made sure that ended before the new American Idol began.

5) I can barely get through the day without calling my Mom. She is awesome. She was unreachable on a hiking excursion a while back- it was one of the longest weeks I've had.

6) I love fantasy. I didn't really realize that till recently, but my favorite movies and books are all very fantastic and awesome. I guess that goes along with my daydreams. Those happen fairly often.

Okay, I hope that will suffice.

I tag Lindsay, Kelly, Jessica and Becca.

Here's Sally doing a little talking

Here's a little clip of some of Sally's words. She has quite a few these days, some more clear than others. Binkey, blankie and cookie all sound very similar, but the slight differences make all the difference in her cute little mind. Also, check out her great leg lifts near the end. She loves dancing, and this is her latest move.

Adding one more!

I think I like the idea of the blog. Bill keeps one at http://www.newfave.com/ Check it out. This one is going to be more about our family and lives. I'll still keep up the slideshows for anyone interested. In fact, there's one at http://www.newfave.com/sally/january08.html.

So, we've had quite a time in the new year. We just found out there will soon be four Nicolich clan members! I took a test kind of on a whim and was amazed at the results. When the tears (of joy) stopped and the shaking (of shock) lessened, I drove right to Bill's work. I had a picture to give him from Sally (pictures), he opened it and was SO happy. He kept saying, "This is great! This is so great!" We are so grateful for this amazing blessing. So far, I've felt a little unwell on a few mornings, but I'm thinking the real "fun" is yet to come. I'll let you know.
